Google Earth much improved resolution/navigation ?

Featured Replies

I can only add this experience:

nothing has improved for our (remote upcountry) area.

The same old blurry pics that are just good enough to distinguish one house from the other.

No comparison with the example "Brasilia" from the report.

Don't expect that the whole world is covered in a short time.

EDIT: deleted pics.

All in same scale.

Chiang Mai, Tapaegate:

Brasilia (mentioned in the report):

Maybe not from satellite but drone or plane?

San Francisco

These comparisons are very telling, thank you., on the other hand, I think of feel kind of unsafe if just anybody could look into my backyard, at close range. But I guess that's where we are. No escaping.

It does not say that sooner or later your region will be covered by these higher resolution pics.

Just compared Bangkok and it does not look much better than Chiang Mai e.g.

Far from these "aerial photos" of San Francisco.

The more interesting question: how does your home look on street view?

Only if you live far from the street or in a gated community you are safe from your house being pictured.

Google has very much improved the coverage in Thailand and other SEA countries.
