Story by Albert Jack

PATTAYA: -- At 3pm on July 2, Pattaya police announced the arrest of Mr. Rajan aka Sun Kuman, (24) who is half Thai-Nepalese and Ms. Lek (Alias) (16) on charges of theft, assault, abuse and imprisonment. Two ATM cards and a set of house keys were confiscated.

The previous day the police had been informed of an assault and robbery at The Village, Pattaya Sai 3, central Pattaya. The occupier of the house, Mr Abdel El Dini, an eighty-seven year old French national, had a badly swollen face and was bleeding from the nose. He had been locked up in the house.

He told officers he had been returning home when a man and two young women pulled up on a motorcycle. They forced their way into his house and beat him unconscious. When he came round he discovered 1200 baht missing along with two of his ATM cards. He realised he had been locked in but managed to alert a neighbour who came to his rescue and called the police.

It seems Mr El Dini knew his attackers as the police had soon caught up with them at a room in Soi Sukhumvit-Pattaya 53. Mr Kuman claimed Ms Lek had asked him to drive her to Mr El Dini so she could ask him for money. She told him the man was her step-father.

Crackdown! What are the dates? When does it end? What about the the unstoppable "men dressed like ladies"? I'm so confused

Is that it ,well done ,now take a month to relax ,all sorted in Pattaya

I was fearful of yet another bridge syndicate. Whatever happened to that?

Step-father who didn't give YABA money, so, kick his butt but I'm sorry and went to temple and was forgiven, what's the problem?

Don't "sort out" Pattaya to much or the "tourists" will not return. Most of these older "gentlemen" have done the temple tours and are now looking for more action as they have seen in the Thailand travel brochures with all the smiling faces of beautiful young ladies. They now want to see the actual Sireeens as portrayed on the brochures waving beckoning come hither.
