Shared a URL from googlemaps app in iPhone 6

When click on URL from iPhone 6 - it goes into googlemap app

But same link on iPhone 5 - opens google maps in safari

All OS and apps are up to date

The update re Iphone 6+ is confusing. Google maps somehow has upgraded the live traffic conditions anyway.Just delete Google Maps and re install from Apps and its just the same,even includes your Stored Info ,rather strange when you have deleted the lot. The P.C. maps i never loaded into Google Chrome,and ive dumped Safari so cant say.

The Apple Maps app has improved so much lately that I now prefer that over Google Maps. The live traffic is now country-wide, even out in the provinces. Recently I was driving along in Kamphaeng Phet province, out in the middle of nowhere and using Maps for navigation, when I got a traffic warning popup together with a suggested detour. I carried on and didn't take the suggestion. Turns out it was a police box checkpoint with traffic stacked up about 500 metres.

Thanks..... In Bangkok Apple maps still makes me choose wrong roads which don't make sense.
