Pattaya begins demolition of encroaching hotel carpark

PATTAYA:--Pattaya has begun demolishing a three-story hotel parking garage at the Bali Hai Bay Hotel after finding it encroached on public land.


City Legal Department chief Sretapol Boonsawat led Pattaya engineers and contractors from Boy Ocean Star Co. to the site July 2 with heavy machinery to start tearing down the illegal structure. The demolition is expected to take 120 days.

New Pattaya legal chief appointed to tackle encroachment

Sretapol Boonsawat has been appointed the new head of Pattaya’s Legal Department.



PATTAYA:--The non-elected transformation of Pattaya City Hall continued with acting Mayor Chanatpong Sriviset appointing Sretapol Boonsawat head of the city Legal Department.

Leaky tank blamed for disabling 14 vehicles at Sattahip gas station

SATTAHIP:-- A Sattahip gas station has agreed to repair 14 diesel-powered vehicles that broke down after filling up with fuel mixed with water.


Heavy rain and a leaky drainage system were blamed for allowing storm runoff to enter an underground diesel fuel tank at the PTT station at Kasempol Junction in Sattahip June 21.

Customs may propose using Section 44 power to clear over 1,000 abandoned luxury cars at ports

PHUKET: -- A Phuket man was arrested on Wednesday (July 6) when he was found to be in possession of six bags of crystal meth (ya ice) weighing a total of 1 kilogram.
