Making internet faster

Featured Replies

I have a question for the tech experts out there.

I have a 100 Mbps fiber connection. Local speed is great, but international can be slow.

Will doubling up with 2 100 Mbps connections through a load balancer make my international speed faster or is it unlikely to help?

The pricing of my isp makes it more advantageous to tie 2 connections together to make one.

No

Can you please expand on that thought and tell me why?

Load balancer can not make your internet faster. If you want tv streaming etc, load balancing will not work.

What you need is a fast singapore vpn. You can get 16-20 mbit on single connection and 100mbit on multiple connections.

Well, I have VYRP VPN, but how can a VPN make it faster? I thought it slows it down, because the signal bounces from here to there, to the place where the site is and back to me?

Normally, you would be absolutely correct, but have a read of this thread http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/925368-using-vpn-to-speedup-your-internet-international-speed/

Interesting, thanks!

I'll test it with my Golden Frog VPN, which has been fantastic so far.
