July 18, 20169 yr Would like to fly business to London on Thai Airways but they want 150,000 and British Airways only 100,000 any ideas on how to get Thai Airways cheaper or same as BA.
July 18, 20169 yr It is high season. If you are trying to travel now, then that is maybe why. I just paid similar for LON-BKK-LON on EVA.
July 18, 20169 yr BA pricing can be misleading. If you want to pre-book a seat then it costs THB 3,500 each way (and unless you want to get knocked and jostled for 12 hours in BA's awful business class aisle seats, you need to pre-book) and changes also cost. Still less costly than Thai, which unfortunately is uncompetitive these days, but Qatar via Doha or Eva can be similar real cost to BA, and a much better experience than BA. If you fly Thai business, you will be one of the few in the cabin who's actually paid for the flight, which may explain the cost.
July 18, 20169 yr I'd advise less rigidity on direct flights unless you have mobility issues. Lots of better deals with the Middle East carriers.
July 18, 20169 yr Try Malaysia, not direct, but short hop to KL, some good prices right now Edit. btw not a poor taste post, one way to UK right now is under 200 quid, not checked business, but could be a good price Edited July 18, 20169 yr by donnybay
July 18, 20169 yr Depends when you fly. Skyscanner says the same price in August £2000 100k baht. But qatar and emirates better and cheaper for a couple of hours more.
July 18, 20169 yr Sometimes travel agents and consolidators can get quite competitive, non-published prices. SL
July 19, 20169 yr why pay double price for Thai or BA ? MAS has frequent Promos to LHR, and the transit times are actually very short. If booking, make sure you are on the A380 flight, as one of their two daily flights is being served by an old 747 at the moment as the A380's are undergoing scheduled maintenance. No booze to be had anymore on the BKK-KUL legs, though, even in business class
