During the outreach visit, the consulate will provide the following services:

Passport applications, Notarial services, Statutory declarations, Witnessing documents, Certified true copies of documents.

Fees are payable in cash only. Please contact the Consular section on 02 344 6300 or [email protected] for fees payable.

I just called the Embassy and this date should read December 19th. Sorry, I just called back again and the silly girl gave me the date of August. It is in fact Dec 9th.

Does anybody know if the Australian Consulate has an approved photographer in Chiangmai for passports? There is one in Bangkok and it makes the applications a lot easier. The requirements are quite stringent to be compatible with biometric matching.

At the risk of incurring the eternal wrath of some......I got mine done by G4T next to Immi at Promenada.

Showed them what I wanted from web site and because everything is digital now can shoot away until it met my requirements....

It's not that hard when you look at the web site...size, background, no reflection, no obscuring, look straightforwards etc etc.

Handed photos in at Consular visit (I think October last year from memory) and processed no problems.

Do not think there is an approved one in CM.  Approval or sanctioning of one or even recommendations can leave one open to allegations of impropriety and it just ain't worth the hassle for LE or A based staff.

Thanks Bob. I will give them a try. Now that you have done all the pioneering work it should be easier.
