Import/Export Licences

I understand that import/export licences are required for anyone wanting to import/export into/out of Thailand.

Does anyone know how much these licences cost, and what is required to get them ?

Also, does anyone know any freight companies that could import / export on your behalf and use their own licences ? How much would this cost ?

And, with so many freight companies out there, could anyone recommend a company that can offer a reliable, inexpensive service ?

The license depends on the goods you want to import.

Yes, you can let an established company import on your behalf, but it involves a lot of trust, they will know your partners.

As for the forwarders, talk to some and get a feeling for it. The prices don't vary much, it's more important that you are comfortable with the person in charge at the forwarder. They should also be able to answer all your questions here.
