1 Fact is Ghanaians are leaving Cocoa for Rubber, Is it an option fir Southern farmers to switch over and make money?

I'd have thought both would be good. Cocoa likes shade?

Two pictures.

# 1 is of fermented, dried, roasted, shelled cocoa pods.

# 2 is of the same pods after crushing, a little clumpy because cocoa is more oily than coffee.

This small batch made a very nice "Fine Belgian Chocolate" flavor drink.

Boiled with two cups of whole milk, added just a drop of sugar & a bunch of ice cubes in the blender, very very nice and refreshing.

Made in Buriram; real chocolate will follow, I need to get a couple of appliances.

I read that you can make chocolate from this mixed with kokum-fat (garcinia indica). If you want those seeds then let me know.

Well i don't have this garcinia myself but here you can buy them. I have ordered from this seller before and they arrived next day by EMS.

Hello all,

I have been interested in cocoa for a while now but I either forget to bring cocoa seeds with me when I come back to Thailand or I lose track of time.

If anyone can point me in the direction to buy some seeds or saplings it would greatly appreciated. I am in Pattaya right now but I range down to Chantaburi.

Million of these in my area at bangsaphan , prachuap kirrikhan . A simple fire made from dead leaves in the evening will keep the insects away . Yummy

I just planted 3 trees, unfortunately only one left. I think this hot season was too vicious for them.

But still have one and am looking for some replacements for the dead ones.

Hi all.. 

I'm looking to buy organically grown Thai cacao beans.. 

Whole fruits would be the best if not, properly processed (Fermented and sun dried)  cacao beans. 

I am a bean to bar chocolate maker based in Lao and I would pay more than market price for good produce.

Cocoa trees are very happy under larger canopies. Keep it moist & humid; they will be doing well.
