PATTAYA: At 2.30pm, on the afternoon of July 29. Chonburi Provincial Police Dept announced the arrest of thirty-eight-year-old Mr Nukul Piriyapranee, twenty-six-year-old Mr Sattawat Promma and Mr Ekasit Pomkham, who is twenty-six.

Police had previously received reports from a motorcycle rental and leasing business owner in Chonburi that a group had been using fake identity documents to lease motorcycles and were then failing to pay any instalments.

Another company, Mityont Pattaya Co Ltd, made the same complaint but were able to provide information that led to the arrest of Ekasit Pomkham , who was carrying a fake ID card in the name of Mr Jirasak Kohklang.

Further investigation led to the other two arrests. Mr Supat Jaruruangpaisal, manager of the Mityont Pattaya Company identified the three men.

Further fake ID cards, vehicle registrations and house registrations were seized as evidence. The gang’s suspected leader, twenty-four-year-old Thongchai Apiyangkul, also known as Bank, is yet to be tracked down.
