For the Bitter Remainers

The insults flowed like beer at a piss-up in a brewery.

Do these insults sound familiar ?

Anyone who votes Leave are stupid, xenophobic, probably racist, and impressionable.

The myths, stereotypes and the idiocy of your remarks have now been blown apart.

Time to dry your eyes.

The majority of people voted leave over immigration, that's why the "leave" parties put more emphasis on this aspect of the debate when they fell behind in the polls. There were other reasons, of course,  but I doubt they alone would have led to a "leave" vote. This was never an issue in the early years of the EU and 'free movement' because most EU countries were as wealthy as each other ... so not many Italians move to the UK, or Germans to France, etc. That changed when the poorer countries like Romania, Bulgaria, etc joined.

So not every 'leave' voter is racist, but most racists were leave voters. And some were xenophobes. To say all would be wrong of course.

Are leave voters stupid? I've watched a few "vox pops" of people who voted leave being interviewed, those one's in particular were hardly the cream of the nation's intellect ... so some probably are. But not all of course. Some voted irrespective of the economic impact, the full ramifications of which we will see play out over the next few years. That's a rational choice.

As for drying your eyes we might well find that the whining over the result is not exclusive to those that did not vote for it. If the real economy takes a tumble and unemployment increases along with inflation the impact will hit people who voted on both sides of the debate.

Article 50 has yet to be invoked and the refugee and political crisis in the EU continues to focus minds. I would not be in the least bit surprised to see restrictions on free movement within the EU over the next few years ... and that just might change the issue for the UK within the EU.

The 'fat lady' has not sung yet ... and that's what terrifies leave voters the most!

Let's be clear: Britain occupied a very advantageous position due to its glorious past and also to fierce negotiations of Thatcher when everyone wanted UK in UE. Thus, you can enjoy all the benefits of the Union and a key position with the new continent. This is what you have destroyed.

Furthermore, you left this position for reasons that do not make you honor:
 - Isolationism archaic.
 - Refusal of sharing
 - Refusal to see other objective than the immediate financial interest. Yet peace now reigns in Europe, for example.
 - Silly belief in demagogic promises of savings money.
 - Xenophobia, racism, shameful behavior of some who think set free of all morality.

So yes, we can say that the British made the stupidest vote in modern history. World Champions !

Note that today the vast majority of Europeans are happy to see you out. And most want to accelerate the movement.

And they have not finished laughing given the problems already identified and those who will not fail to occur in the months and years ahead.

Then repeat: Champions of the world!

Codswallop. Most free-thinkers with half a brain are aghast that the UK is pulling out because they realise the big influence it has on steering it in the right direction, not to mention the economics and clout on the international stage. If you do a bit of reading, you will also discover that swathes of Europeans also want out of the EU.

I personally wanted out because am sick of my country being dictated to by a bunch of out of touch, self-serving, unelected elitist Eurocrats, overcrowding and the unfettered dilution of culture. If that is racist then people can call it what they will.

I won't get into the remainers' childish, in-denial rant tactics but they generally seem to have one thing in common... they're wet behind the ears and a little bit weak. The EU made a big mistake of inviting all 'n sundry to join up and is coming apart. Look at the state of the banking systems. Only a matter of time. Benefits, you say?

I suggest you stick to any of the threads containing the words 'Trump' or 'Clinton' and leave this to those it concerns.
