Singapore: Double-entry Tourist Visa?

Featured Replies

Having heard that the consulate in Penang was no longer issuing double entry tourist visas, I am now considering Singapore for my visa instead. Does anyone out there know if the Thai Embassy in Singapore is issuing double-entry tourist visas?

very unlikely. Some have reported getting single entry tourist visa's from Singapore Consulate and told to not come back. If your passport is nice and clean and you impress somebody then its possible to get a 2 entry from KL, singapore or HK. You best bet for a multiple entry tourist visa is back in your home country. Sorry to say.

Depending on where you are from it might be cheaper to go back and get a 2 to 3 entry TV or perhaps cheaper to make 4 single entry TV trips regionally plus 4 30 day extensions.

Depends on your situation and needs but the new system ups the ante. By my calculations its going to cost upwards of 60,000 baht a year to stay in thailand with Tourist Visa's. Still cheaper than getting married or going to some Thai universities full time.

Thanks for your advice. I have considered returning home for an "O" visa, but the USA is an expensive trip. If oil was $20 and not $60, I wouldn't mind.

I wish the USA could have a little outpost here like Guam, but closer and cheaper to access, in order to fly to for a few days while mailing my passport to the Thai Consulates in the USA.
