Getting a hormonal IUD in Thailand

Featured Replies

Hey ladies!

I saw some posts from a couple years ago about girls getting copper IUDs in Bangkok and was just wondering if anyone has gotten hormonal ones and if so, how much they cost and where?! I am in Chanthaburi at the moment but making my way to Bangkok, so Bangkok/Pattaya would be preferred. I emailed Bangkok hospital in Pattaya and they replied to say the IUD itself, depending on brand, would cost between 10,000 - 20,000 THB which sounds absolutely INSANE to me. That is not including the cost of insertion which they said would be 1,000 - 1,500 THB. Pattaya international hospital said: The cost for the IUD is 10,000 THB, insertion cost is 3,000-4,000 THB. Does anyone know if this is accurate?!? And/or are there any other reputable hospitals that will sell it cheaper??

Thanks!
