Fifty million baht in assets seized from Chinese travel companies

BANGKOK:-- Tourist police and trading standards officers have seized assets worth approximately 50 million baht from two travel companies in the Rama 9 area of Bangkok.

Agreements signed for more EV stations by next year

BANGKOK: -- Six electric car manufacturers yesterday entered agreement with the state-owned PTT Plc to cooperate to increase electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to 20 by next year from the current four stations.

PHUKET: -- A 23-year-old cleaner from Phuket International Airport was arrested for theft yesterday (Aug 15) after she kept a handbag containing B37,000 in cash and other items she found while cleaning the airport’s toilets.

Google’s Duo app joins crowded field of video calling

The app, dubbed Duo, represents Google’s response to other popular video calling options, including Apple’s FaceTime, Microsoft’s Skype and Facebook’s Messenger app.

Fifth crew member of sunken fishing boat rescued off Phuket

PHUKET:-- Officials from the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command have confirmed that the fifth crew member of the Bumrungthainawa 1 fishing boat was rescued from the water south of Koh Maithon by another fishing boat, Sor Samuth, at 11:55am today and that Navy boats and a helicopter are still searching for the missing four men crew members.
