MAE SOT: -- Violence among supporters spilled over after a boxing match in Mae Sot in the north west of Thailand.

Police called to the area behind some local authority offices found two men wounded - one with a trident in his back and another who had been hit over the head with a bottle, reported Thairath.

Both Asim, 26, and Sisi, 30, (no surnames supplied) were treated for their injuries in hospital.

There had been trouble at a boxing match in the early hours of Monday morning after an event on Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day in Mae Sot, Tak province.

Been in a fight son?

yes dad but you should see the other guys face!

" one with a trident in his back and another who had been hit over the head with a bottle."

Look to me like Neptune and Bacchus have been up to their old tricks again.

He's saying, "I said scratch my back, just scratch it, jeeze".

Who carries a trident? Knives, guns, brass knuckles sure, but a trident, that's just sick.

Thai backstabbers.

Boy, that escalated quickly.

...what better way to celebrate Mother's Day....
