One just wonders if these clowns in the military government ever talk to each other. Or is each of them a little Napoleon of its own?

Incompetence comes mostly in uniforms.

They probably don't talk (about their plans for their fiefdoms).

They will be far too concerned with safeguarding their own power, prestige and any possible future advancement.

Remember, the next guy at the cabinet table may be a colleague, a comrade in arms, a member of the same secret society, but he is also a rival. Remember too that if it came down to survival and/or advancement your closest comrade would climb over your body to get to or closer to the top. That it's the nature of the beast!

Imagine if sanctions hit?

Would the same people ( impacted ) decide on national TV to announce ""taking our money "" might be justified.?

In context these remarks by this woman shouldn't just be seen as laughable....they are scary too......

Think about it........they are running a Nation .

So there I was, yesterday eve, crawling along behind a scooter, which was wobbling along the road between Karon and patong.... unable to pass for ages.... When it was FINALLY safe to pass, I noticed that the scooter riding muppet was texting on  a phone!

Oh..... wait.....

I have heard it all now, well, probably not, but using a virtual, fantasy, game and its characters to initiate a rise in tourism,is like  telling the nation that Harry Potter is a real person and Thailand will be building a Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry for people to send their children to.Term fee's available on line.

And only last week some other idiot in superposed control was saying they are going to ban it in Thailand.

Are you insinuating that idiots do not have a right to change their mind. We live in a tolerant world even idiots have rights.

True Pokemon player stat:

- 21 percent of trainers would rather play Pokémon Go than have sex

Which makes you wonder how exactly this will benefit the thai economy which as we know is built on satisfying only one human need.

I usually bag my pokemons in Insomnia or 808…..also in soi lk metro…..the ones Ive captured (and released) include Noi, Oi, Toi, Orn, Porn, Ae, Bee, Lek, Dek etc etc.

Quoting Crossy

Just what's needed, hoards of tourists (of a certain nationality), who seem to have zero spacial awareness anyway, wandering around with their heads in their phones. unquote. To take this one step further there could be a rash of players walking off cliffs or run over by cars (dangerous here) while playing the game. I understand that while playing caution and disregard for oneself's safety go out the window. Rather than cause happiness it could be a hazard.

I saw an article on CNN or similar, recently, where game players freely admitted to running into things, or falling over etc... Freely admitted... Idiots!

add that to Thai infrastructure, and I see this is a realistic basis for a class action suit for causing wrongful deaths, or some such thing

but... Just another item to be added to the ever increasing list of "things not to do in Thailand", that some pundits would have issued on arrival

The cat (or pokeman) is finally out of the bag, her ingenious plan to get the quality tourists to Thailand  that she has been promising is to come to fruition. I believe three words from Basil in Faulty Towers is rather appropriate right now . "you stupid woman"

In spite of my time here I still have to believe that it takes more than one person to be that stupid, or maybe I just prefer thinking that she had to do something to compenate for the negative impact on tourism that had follow when word got out implying Thailand is so bad now, they even banned pokeman. Hope fully I'm right.

Imagine somewhere in the world people are planning a holiday and preferably they're the much vaunted quality tourists with cash to flash.

They could go to any of the world's great cities with sights,   history and the highest of high end shopping or to countries with the most pristine of beaches.

NO,  they'll come to LoS to chase Pokemon because despite having it in their own country this is Thai Pokemon so it must be special   !

Yup, she is "special" also  :gigglem:

Yeah,  I was just looking for the link:   http://tech.thaivisa.com/thai-government-threatens-to-ban-pokemon-go/16757/

Interesting how the current military lead government can change their mind so fast.  The only way to change Thailand, it seems, is from the outside.

Follows in the same vein as the submarine purchase. No we will not no we will not no we will not. PSSST yes we will!!! This government is so predictable. When they say no it means yes and vis versa.

Really, isn't there someone in this Administration,

with an IQ above 55, that must approve these Press

Releases so these Ministers don't make complete  fools

 Of themselves??

No, but there is a group with a combined total of 55. Could they possibly assist?

So to promote Thai culture she is pushing the marketing on a Japanese game. Hmmmm,,,

Cannot blame the authorities for terrorist activities, but what about everything else wrong with the economy?

Properly elected, democratic government is the only way out of this mess for Thailand. There is just no tolerance for what is happening today. Thailand is losing everywhere, exports, manufacturing, foreign investments,, all being lost to competing countries in the Asean.

I hope that the elected government will happen sooner rather then later and i hope that the Military involved in the running of the country will cease completely.

Until then we can all rely on Pikachu.
