hey all, I'm in a tight spot and would like to get certified to teach english here in Chiang mai. I speak english natively and thai somewhat fluently, but I don't have a lot of money to lay down. any suggestions on where I should go to get this certification?

At the top of this teaching forum is an add for SEE; you might start there.

Plenty of places to get TEFLs in Bangkok, too....

I read on Ajarn that SEE's November course is full. Their next is in January, but I know their courses have been filling very quickly. You could try Text and Talk or maybe CMU's TEFL.

Don't forget that ECC on Huay Kaew road to the CELTA now and AUA do the TESOL.

Of course you can do the courses in BKK as well, but it much cheaper t for accomodation and you don't have to spend ages of time commuting either.
