Netizens were singing this veterinarian’s praises when they read about how he and his team saved an Anaconda’s life yesterday. The Anaconda had a one-kilogram tumor growing in its heart, but thank God this kind vet came to its rescue.

The veterinarian works at Klongluang Animal Hospital in Pathum Thani. The vet in charge of the procedure, Taweesak Anunsiriwattana, or “Doctor Vi”, posted pictures of the procedure on his Facebook page. The procedure began at 3pm yesterday and took six hours, Many other vets assisted Doc Vi.

Fortunately, the giant snake regained consciousness early this morning, and it is now in good health. After the pictures went viral, many netizens wrote comments of support and praise for the skilled doctor, Sanook reported.

Nice story, but, how does one realise that a creature such as this has such an illness. One poster stated the snake was a pet of a friend, but how did the friend know ? It doesn't seem logical that the friend picked the snake up and took it to a Vet, if that's the case why was it taken to a Vet ? Next question is, how did the Vet diagnose such a tumour.? Clever stuff and well done to the Vet.

At first he thought she had a respiratory infection as her breathing was laboured. He took her to the vet but her lungs were clear, so they did more tests and found the tumor. As you have probably read, she passed away 72 hours after the op. Very sad, he had her for 10 years and was one of the family, a very gentle giant.
