Thanks shaggy1969. This is up past the Damnoen Saduak floating market which is over an hour drive out of Bangkok. I went early, 5am I left BKK and arrived before the buses arrived and privately hired a boat to travel up through the market and carried on past many houses until we reached some famous wat I can't remember the name of.  Well worth the visit. The market is ok also but gets very crowded.

Thanks for the reply and info retoohs!

Have actually been to Damnoen Saduak, but that must be almost 10 years ago now.You are right about the market being crowded, seem more like a bumber car ride at the fair, than a market.Nether the less, still good to of seen.

If you get the chance again get a boat and do as I did and go on past the market. I'm sure the market is reliant on tourism these days so a little fake but this is real up further on.
