TM 30, the Foreigner Info sheet, Nakhon Phanom Immigration

Featured Replies

So today I had to visit Nakhon Phanom Immigration again, having returned from Laos yesterday, my TM30 needed re – newing.

Yes, they do insist on the whole circus with copies of my wife's blue book, her ID card, my passport and relevant pages etc. every time.

Not just endorsing the one I only did a few weeks ago…

AND, for the first time ever, I was presented with the 'Foreigner Information Questionnaire', well, at least I think it was, because it was all in Thai. Not one English word, front or back.

My wife, who deals with these issue for me, came over and asked me to fill in the points the Immigration officer had ticked:

Address and telephone number in Oz

Make, colour and number plate of my car here in T

My Thai telephone number

...and that was it! No, no photo required – I had brought one in anticipation, no bank details, parents names, email no, no,no – wife checked again – “No need. Finish”. Ok with me.

Just thought I let you all know I just found another example of inconsistency in Thai bureaucratic processing. Number 1847 and counting?

I'll post one more tomorrow about my trip across Friendship Bridge 2, Nakhon Phanom – Thakhek last Saturday.

Cheers

Do they also not insist on copies of your KR2 & KR3 marriage docs for good measure?
