webfact Posted August 29, 2016 Share Posted August 29, 2016 "Tom Modelling" claims ex colleague libeled him on Facebook Image: Daily News BANGKOK: -- Well known celebrity "Tom Modelling" otherwise known as Mr Ratchaporn Uthaitham, 40, has complained to tech cops that he has been libeled on Facebook. He went with Mr Sakphoom Chaidech, better know as "VJ Pong" of Channel 5, to make their case at the Technology Crime Suppression Division yesterday, reported Daily News. He said that a post on the Beau Atitapon page defamed him. It suggested that he had swindled a former colleague out of money which is false, he said. The matter concerns a music video. This he said had caused him to lose face and credibility with a sponsor. Police intend to summon the poster of the alleged libelous article to get to the bottom of the matter. Regardless of whether the accusation is true or false, the poster has broken the law and can face jail. How can a country ever stop graft when it cant even be discussed? And to the above poster, yes the police DO pursue defamation cases, because usually the 'defamed' hires an expensive lawyer to do all the legal legwork for them.
