Need an experienced recommendation. The Cintara Grand is booked out, surprisingly, the week we want to go. So I'm looking for an alternative for my wife and two young sons. 

 

Would love a resort or hotel right on the beach, no busy road between. Maybe a pool with a slide. The Cintara seemed perfect, but I waited to long to book. We are coming in early October.

If you need to be on the beach, the wongamat area is the only place in the north, in Pattaya itself, beach road is always an issue with traffic.

 

At the south end of walking street, there is the Siam Bayshore which has nice gardens and a pool by the beach.

Stick to Naklua….soi 12 and up….quieter there….

Other hotels on that stretch of beach include the Pullman and perhaps Long Beach. Not sure if one can still pay to use the Grand Mirage facilities.

Perhaps look for an apartment on the beach nearby and then pay to use the Grand Mirage facilities separately.

Consider a condo unit at Park Beach, just north of Centara on Soi 16. Right on the beach, two bedrooms, 3 baths, modern amenities.

My son and his family (2 adults, 3 kids) just stayed there for 2 weeks in August and it worked out very well for them.

Yes I did mean that one. It was booked up during the first week of October. I just waited too long.
