DDPM advises several provinces along Chao Phraya River to get prepared for rising water

  

BANGKOK, 7 September 2016 (NNT) – The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has advised several provinces along Chao Phraya River to get prepared for a rising water. 

The DDPM cooperated with military and other government units to help flood victims in Sena district, Ayutthaya province, and reported that the water level in Chao Phraya River had dropped already. 

The DDPM has advised seven provinces, namely Uthai Thani, Chainat, Singburi, Lopburi, Ang Thong, Ayutthaya and Supanburi, to get prepared to deal with the rising water in the river. 

Local villagers have been advised to closely follow the situation while the department has instructed provincial authorities and its local units in those provinces to closely monitor the situation and help flood victims. 

Flood victims are encouraged to contact local DDPM units or call Hotline 1784 around the clock.
