NLA passed final reading of the 2017 budget bill in just 2 and half hours

BANGKOK: -- The National Legislative Assembly on Thursday spent just two and a half hours in passing the first and final reading of the 2.73 trillion baht expenditure budget for 2017 fiscal year.

Arrest warrant out for the 6th suspect in Hua Hin bomb blasts

BANGKOK: -- The Military Court in Petchaburi province on Thursday issued a warrant for the arrest of the sixth suspect allegedly involved in the deadly bomb explosions in Hua Hin on August 11-12 which left two people dead and about 25 injured, many of them tourists.

School remains closed for the second day after motorcycle bomb blast

NARATHIWAT: -- Ban Taba school in Narathiwat’s Tak Bai district remains closed for the second day on Thursday as only 10 out of a total of 500 students showed up at the school following a deadly motorcycle bomb explosion in front of the school on Tuesday which left three people, including a 4-year old student, dead and seven injured.

Marine police help sought to track down freighter suspected of causing oil spill

CHONBURI: -- Saensook municipality has asked the marine police to track down a freighter suspected of discharging used bunker oil into the sea which was eventually swept ashore by waves on the popular Bang Saen beach since Wednesday.

Energy Min affirms reliance on fuel for power production to go down

US tries rescue mission in Afghanistan, hostages not found
