Number of Purple Line electric railway passengers increases by 10% following fare cut

BANGKOK, 9 September 2016 (NNT) – The number of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA)'s Purple Line electric railway passengers has increased by 10 percent after the fares had been cut.

MRTA Governor Pheerayut Singphatthanakul disclosed that the MRTA had cut the fares for its Purple Line electric railway by 30 to 50 percent from September 1 to attract commuters.

The discounted fares have raised the number of Purple Line passengers by 10 percent, from 20,000 to 22,000 a day, he said.

He added that the MRTA needs to take some time to change travel behaviors of the commuters as well as to find ways to provide incentives for using its service more often.

And finish the missing link :)

"Wise Men of Gotham" (?) seems the English term for such ingenuity/waste of money.

Will the planners land before court (as incompetent Yingluck)?

Guess not.
