webfact Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 Min of Public Health to promote well-being of all Thais over 20 year-period BANGKOK, 9 September 2016 (NNT)-The Ministry of Public Health this week held an academic conference on the sustainability of public health in an effort to promote medical research and the development of medical innovations. Public Health Minister Dr. Piyasakol Sakolsattayathorn said after presiding over the opening ceremony of the Ministry’s 24th academic conference that his ministry will serve as a major health care service provider via a national health care system to ensure the well-being of all Thais under its 20 year-plan. In 2017, the Ministry of Public Health will begin to implement four measures: disease protection, provision of excellent health related services, improvement of human medical resources and promotion of good governance in medical organizations. The introductory scheme will be carried out over a period of 18 months in a bid to pave the way for the country to enter the 4.0 era.
