Third forum for public opinions on Chao Phraya Bank Development Project held

BANGKOK, 9 September 2016 (NNT) – A third round of public opinion gathering was staged today as part of the Chao Phraya River bank development initiative with the results of studies also presented citizens to be affected.

The Ministry of Interior and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) today organized a public opinion gathering forum for the first phase of the Chao Phraya River bank development initiative, which extends over a 14 kilometer stretch in Bangkok.

The session also revealed the results of an impact study commissioned with King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Khon Kaen University. The forum was the third in a series of opinion gathering sessions and is the last before the project is handed back to the BMA for further work on September 26.

Project managers indicated that for the first section of the initiative, which covers the area between Rama 7 Bridge and Somdej Phra Pinklao Bridge, a single format for development was used with alternate versions presented to individual communities to allow for customization based on their needs.
