I'm asking a few women on the dating sites about the rent for apartments in their area.

I know for a fact you can get rooms in Udon for 3000 up.. yet im constantly getting high estimates from them. 

Are they trying to set me up for something? What's going on in their minds?

 

If you know the price  ...why are you asking a question that you already know the answer to.

 

Second part ...guess they haven't seen your handle ...

 

I'm bored waiting for it to get light so that  I can finish my painting before it gets too hot...what's your excuse ...

why are you asking room rent rates on a dating site ?

I think the best people to ask are locals they will know the best places and might have a gem in mind that i might not have found by word of mouth on thaivisa or farang orientated websites. 

 

But i am wrong.. i have found nothing other than opportunistic thai women wanting to cheat a farang

ANYONE you speak to about  getting a  room will make some  money out of  it , this is  just how it works here, if  you think otherwise you are mistaken, from the cleaning lady right up to the manager of the  building, they will all get a cut.

Even if they dont know how  much a  room is they can ask someone who does and they  still get a cut.

In the Uk if someone asks me for a plasterer I just give them a number and thats it, here if I ask someone the plasterer will give them a  cut.

Isaan has nothing to do with it. Adding your percentage to everything is a national pastime.

Mentioning money, in any form, to Thai women, open the proverbial Pandora box
