Work Permit Application Deadline

Featured Replies

I applied for a Non-B visa and due to some additional paperwork 'late' submission my visa processing took a bit longer time and the work permit application deadline, according to the Letter of Approval is about to expire within 3-4 days. I did not receive my passport back yet. It may arrive a little late after the deadline. Does the Royal Thai Embassy consider this matter to provide visas? Is there any chance of being rejected because of this? Well, my company can still be able to sort out this case but I need the visa to travel to Bangkok first. I provided them the accurate documents (WP3 and all) and the visa officer seemed OK with that. Well the time I applied for the visa was enough to get a visa within the deadline but Embassy informed me late about the additional paperwork.

I am not aware of any published official rule about this. Ask at the embassy where you have made your application how they will handle this.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I am not sure where the problem exactly is.

if you inform the Embassy they can probably help you and extend the period for the part they are responsible for.

If needed then contact your employer they can help you out. As well they can help to extend the application period.

this can solve the problem you have

Where are you getting your visa at?  Typically you submit one day and pick up the next day.  I had some delays in Laos, as I was missing some documents. I called my office had them faxed to my hotel but got them too late so went back next morning gave the additional papers and got my visa that afternoon.
