BANGKOK, 13 September 2016 (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) made known that the Chao Phraya for All project is the government’s policy aimed at returning public spaces to the people.

Speaking during the program ‘Thailand Moves Forward’, BMA Permanent Secretary Dr. Peerapong Saichua said the project is a joint effort between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the Ministry of Transport, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Khon Kaen University.

The Chao Phraya for All project is a development project that will turn the Chao Phraya River into a beautiful landscape, connecting different modes of transport in the capital. It also serves as an outdoor classroom for the general public.

Dr. Peerapong said 95% of people living along the river said they welcomed the plan. The BMA permanent secretary then assured that no additional roads would be built in this area.

The project will expand 57 kilometers along the river. The initial phase of the development will cover the first 14 kilometers, starting from Rama 7 Bridge to Somdet Phra Pinklao Bridge. The first phase is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

Chao Phraya for All project to serve multiple purposes.

1. We will make billions of Baht selling our land and access routes.

2. We will make billions of Baht under compulsary purchase of other plots.

3. We will make billions of Baht clearing the site.

4. We will make billions of Baht rehousing locals on plots of land we already own.

5. We will make billions of baht from construction/material supply/waste removal and transport costs from the project.

6. We will make billions of Baht in ongoing revenue.

Chao Phraya for All (of us).

Who needs old fashioned graft!

The only difference with The Mafia these days is they no longer wear black suit, tie and trilby hat, they try to look like law abiding ordinary and harmless citizens.   However; never trust a man who hides behind dark glasses and drinks some kind of strawberry looking <deleted> !

Yes ,like the bicycle lanes that can't be used because of vendors or vehicles that park on them ,give with one hand and sell with the other

The riverside looks awfull in BKK, there are only a few nice places to be seen from a boat. Build a long road along the river first and make it nice with big tree's and gardens/parks.

If you cup your ears and listen carefully you will hear the cha -ching of the cash registers of the connected people involved in this project.

My guess is they are drinking strawberry pomegranate mojitos. And the lad with the perving sunglasses is certainly not interested in the riverside scenery

We can trust the BMA on this because they can just copy all the other nice roads in Bangkok with big tree's and gardens/parks.
