Extension of stay with Thai wife

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm on my second Extension of Stay based on Thai wife. It expires on the 26th this month. I have 2 accounts with Tanachart Bank, on the Ultra Savings one I have 200.000 Baht since more than a year and on the Progressive savings one I had +200.000 Baht coming in from abroad on the 22nd of July 2016. I've sent 200.000 Baht from the Progressive savings one to the Ultra Savings account on the 27th of July. I updated the bank books last week but just saw that the new entries started on the 01/08/16, the record with the incoming 200.000 from abroad and the record with the 200.000 I've sent to the Ultra account is not listed in the book. The records in the bank book for the Ultra account are all OK. In my online banking I can see all the records are stated correct, both accounts.

If I get a bank statement for both accounts with the correct dates, will this be accepted by the immigration? Or must I have the 400.000 THB on one single account?

If it has to be one single account, will I get problems because the 400.000 are on that account on the 27th and the extension runs out on the 26th?

If it'll cause problems, can I apply for a 60 day extension? What do I need for that?

Thanks for your help!

You can use two accounts but both of them need to show the funds in the bank for 2 months on the date you apply.

You could apply for the 60 day extension if you the extra time. Marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of wife's house book and ID card.
