Visa options for work permit in 2 months?

Featured Replies

I had planned to apply for a Non O multi in Savannakhet next week, but now there is a high probability that I will receive a job offer in Thailand in a month or two. The 60 day extension 'to visit my wife' expires on Sep 19, what would be my best options?

You could still go ahead and get the Non 'O' based on being married as you can get a work permit from that visa entry or an extension of stay based on marriage.

If you are certain about the the job a single entry non-o would be a good option. But the multiple entry non-o might be better in case there is a delay in getting the work permit.

You can get a work permit and work with a non-o visa or extension of stay based upon working.

If your salary is 40k baht or more you can use that to meet income requirements to apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage. They will want 2 or 3 months of tax payment receipts to prove your income.

Thanks elviajero and ubonjoe, I just wasn't 100 % sure if they would issue the work permit on a Non O multi-entry and yes I better get the multi entry in case the work permit is delayed.
