Do Thai 'house documents' need translating?

Wife is going in for settlement visa application next week. Last time she applied for visit visa she was told there is no need to have her house documents translated by the translation company. Is this correct? Her argument is that if it was needed then she would not have got the visa last time.

 

My understanding is that any documents not in English or Welsh need translating. She of course knows best and takes advice from other on the Facebook network! To me for the small cost involved it's better to just get it done.

If you're talking about the house book in Thailand, are you sure you need to include it?

Your wife is moving to the UK and so will not need to satisfy the decision maker of her reasons to return, so I'm not sure what it adds to the application.

If you do decide to include it, then yes I would get it translated.

Any documents in Thai that you rely on to obtain a visa to the UK need to be translated. The question is, do you need the house book at all? I don't know but somebody on here will.  I presume you are talking about a visa to the UK?

Hi, yes it's for the UK. Sorry missed that out.

 

Problem I have is too many people know it all within her Facebook circle. Rather than argue the case if it's actually needed, I guess it's

 easier to just get it translated and include it.

We never included my wife's house book in either her initial settlement visa application in 2013 or her FLR application last year. Both were successful.

Update. Did not include the house book in the end and visa was granted, so as mentioned above, it's not needed.
