Thai Non-immigrant VISA time requirement

Featured Replies

Hi, I am Zahid Hasan from Bangladesh. I want to go to Bangkok to participate in a business meeting. I am currently staying in India and will apply from India for Thai Non-immigrant (B) single entry VISA . How long it might take to get VISA from here for Bangladeshi nationals?

You will do the application through one of the VFS application centers. Their website states 5 days to get the visa.

Requirement for a non-o visa can be found here: http://www.vfs-thailand.co.in/Delhi/category_b_business.html

It is my understanding that some major travel agents can also apply for visas on your behalf (without going through VFS) and may be able to do it faster in an emergency. Worth looking into if you are under time pressure.

I have applied at 21st September and when on 23rd I went to collect the passport they said it might take a month because I am a foreigner here. They told me I can either withdraw my application which case they will give me back my Demand Draft or could wait for a month to complete the processing system. My flight date is at 16th October. Dont know what to do now... does it really take that long or they are just saying it...they even said it can take up to 2 or 3 months. They are saying 1, 2 or 3 months like childish gibberish, like they dont even know.

Thank you for your suggestions. Can you give me any recommendation for travel agents or someone I could talk to prior submitting my application via them. Also where can I find information for getting thai visa from India for foreign nationals.

Warning: my knowledge in this area is second hand, and should be acted on with caution!

Try contacting Cox & Kings (http://www.coxandkings.com/business/index.shtml). They advertise assistance with visas. That may or may not mean they have the ability to apply for Thai visas on your behalf. I have heard some travel agents can (and Cox & Kings is a large, well established agency) but you will need to ask them.

On foreign national visa requirements, I suggest you use the VFS online visa application form (which prompts for your nationality) and see what else it prompts you for. Link: https://www.visaservices.org.in/thailand-global-vaf/vaf/VAFMain.aspx?MODE=NEW.

Good luck!
