There is a Portuguese man o' war warning, not bluebottle.

Nai Yang and Nai Thon beaches are closed.

Take care though, rips are dangerous and a lot more deadly here than jellyfish or man o' war.

Just to make things interesting, the PMOW is not even a jellyfish. Jellyfish are a single organism.

The PMOW is actually a colony of different types of single-celled animals that have become specialized.

It's known as a Siphonophore.

Very true, that's what I alluded to already in my posts.

Well,I have 3 kids with me so no need to try.1996 I was in Naiharn last time, only 1 hotel and a few small bungalows at that time, but also tiny white and blue jellyfish already

It has changed a lot since then, plenty of hotels around. The small white jellyfish are still sometimes to be found though :(

At least they are not really painful, just irritating and annoying, killing the fun of swimming. When they are there, there's pretty much no way to avoid them.
