Former politician given jail term by Court for embezzling Cambodian firm’s money

BANGKOK: -- Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ratchaburi province of the Pheu Thai Party and former deputy education minister Pol Lt Chawarin Latthasaksiri was today given one year and six months in prison for embezzlement over the purchase of cement from a  Thai cement company by a Cambodian firm.

False alarm! Bomb in Pattani actually coconut

PATTANI — A bomb team sent to dispatch a suspicious bag left in front of a school in Pattani on Tuesday morning found a bag of sand with a coconut inside.

Survey shows one in three Malaysian adults has mental health problems

Early warning system installed at 14 dams to ensure dam safety

Marine Dept gives 4,000 baht to families of victims in Ayutthaya boat sinking

  

AYUTTHAYA, 27 September 2016 (NNT) - The Marine Department has agreed to provide 4,000 baht in compensation to the families of those who lost their lives when a river ferry capsized in Ayutthaya province earlier this month.

Court rejects Thaksin’s demand for the return of his Thai passports

The Central Administrative Court on Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit filed by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra against foreign permanent secretary and director-general of the Consular Affairs Department for revoking his two passports.

72 officials relieved of their duties pending investigations into their conduct

A total of 72 officials most of them local administration officials were relieved of their active duties by an order of the chair of the National Council for Peace and Order, pending investigation into their conduct.
