im an english girl been with my thai guy 3years ..we want to get married...does anyone know if he needs the actual tabbien baan book or just a photocopy for the ceremony at the amphur...and also afterwards to get my non o imm visa someone said he needs a bank account is this true as he doesnt he just works cash in hand...any info be greatfully recieved!!...many thanks 

He needs the Tabien Baan and you should make sure that he's not still married somewhere else.

 

           The Buddhist marriage doesn't count.

 

            Sorry, but if he doesn't have a bank account, I'd be very careful if i were you. He just works cash in hand sounds a little bit harsh to be honest.

 

        Even youngsters have a bank account, but there're plenty of Thais who would ever get one because they messed so many things up in the past.

 

       I'm sure that you'll need a document from your place where you've lived before that you're not married now.

               Something you should consider is that you won't have any insurance if your husband gets his cash daily.

 

No insurance in this country is also for younger people a pain in the you know what.

 

             Only government employees have the SS insurance where you'd be covered.

 

              Please forgive me when I tell you to make some intensive researches before you're getting married to a guy you might not know all about.

 

      And please be aware that a marriage doesn't make a relationship easier. You're obviously only doing it for your visa status. 

 

  A colleague of mine had changed his name completely after too many people were chasing him to get their money back. 

 

    Even being a teacher, 56 years old, he never has money and always smokes other peoples' cigarettes, drinks beer others are paying him. 

 

  An English girls sounds a little bit strange to me. Ever thought about a pension you'll never get?

Me and my wife got married with copy of house book.

If he is married before it will show up on the computer.

 

Your future husband must prove to immigration that he can support you for the marriage extension.
