BernieOnTour
My retirement visa (extension of stay) is ending next month and I want to extend it for another year. It was issued in Chonburi, where I staid until June and I would like to extend it in Chiang Mai, where I rented a condo a week ago. (The time in between, I spent in several cities (including Chiang Mai) in hotels and serviced apartments. I also did not do a 90 day-reporting after leaving Chonburi, as I crossed the border to Myanmar for a shopping trip and got a fresh entry stamp.) - Can I extend the Chonburi extension of stay (retirement visa) in another province? - If yes, what is the recommended procedure to do that ? (I read here about TM28 and TM30 forms, which I never filled out, since leaving Chonburi) Thanks for your help !
ubonjoe
You will need to formally change your address to Chiang Mai by submitting a TM28 form to immigration. They will also want a TM30 form from the owner of the condo you have rented.
OJAS
Based on many reports on here, you had better brace yourself for a far from smooth process in obtaining your retirement extension at Chiang Mai when compared to Chonburi!
