How to get tourist Visa from country with no consulate?

Featured Replies

Hi all, does anyone have experience getting a Thai tourist visa from a country with no Thai embassy/consulate? I am planning a visit in November. There are some travel agents who say they can do it but it costs up to $150.

Normally there will be a regional Embassy Consulate section that has jurisdiction over countries without actual Consulates so expect you or your passport would have to go there.  Or the other option to obtain a visa during your travel to Thailand if from a country that can do so.

what sort of visa are you looking for ? Just a normal 30 days--does your country not come under the list of visa on arrival countries.?

Just the normal tourist visa I believe its 60 days but I'm staying less than 30. My country does not come under list of visas on arival unfortunately.

If you were to mention which country you are a citizen of someone might be able to tell you where to apply for a visa.

Visa on arrival is only 15 days - it would seem you meant visa exempt entry.

He seems to want to keep his nationality secret; I guess it's his prerogative...

You win a non return flight to the UK....what a shocking thought

Not really once you factor in Free Health Care, Housing, Benefits Support, numerous free education courses and start up schemes - I would have thought was a pretty good result...

Would be too easy just asking: I live in / am citizen of xxx and want a visa.

Could even have been asked before in another thread.

For some nationalities getting a visa requires approval by the ministry of foreign affairs. Can take weeks.

Lol no secret there, I'm in Tanzania. The country of jurisdiction is Kenya but they don't explain how it would work, do I need to go to the embassy? Anyway I have emailed them and will see if they respond on Monday.
