CDC confirms organic laws prevent manipulation

Thammarat Thadaphrom

BANGKOK, 1 October 2016 (NNT) - The Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) has reiterated that organic draft acts concerning political parties are being written to prevent capitalists from manipulating Thai politics.

Speaking after his meeting with the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA), CDC spokesperson Udom Rathamarit said both parties, the reform body and the drafting team, had agreed that the public should be involved in the selection of election candidates as much as possible. He said however, that a primary vote is very unlikely as the process is somewhat ‘turbulent’ and ‘complicated’.

As for political donations, he said there will be donation limits to prevent capitalists from meddling in politics. Political parties will not be allowed to accept financial assistance of any kind from international organizations.

He said the organic bill pertaining to politics will be finished first. The CDC is now accepting opinions from all sides including political parties, he said, adding that the drafting team is figuring out a way to make sure that political parties truly belong to the people.

I have not read the article. I only needed to here the phrase " organic "

This triggered the alarm bells sounding the name Prayut. It's like electric shock treatment. I doubt very much anything organic is or ever will grow under Meechai the CDC or any of the regimes puppets show.

Fine. Will there be laws (organic or non-organic) against soldiers meddling in politics?
No? Complete shocker!
