BANGKOK, 3 October 2016 (NNT) – The Prime Minister has expressed a desire to see civil-state mechanisms expanded across the country to strengthen it and help push it toward the government’s Thailand 4.0 objective.

Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha, chairing the opening of the “Strong Civil-State for Better Democracy” program at Government House, stated that in the past, the government was responsible for the remedying of all issues faced by the nation so he was glad that there is now a civil-state sector to help develop the nation’s economy.

He remarked that he wanted to see citizens coming together for constructive purposes rather than for conflict, assuring the government would apply the law as appropriate to both support positive efforts and to suppress negative actions.

He let on Reform Assemblies set up by the government are to be expanded nationwide to elevate Thai society toward the Thailand 4.0 agenda.

Gen Prayuth also voiced his desire for all sectors to contribute to the country’s judicial system, stating that to strengthen justice is the duty of all citizens, not only the government.

The premier viewed an exhibition on civil-state efforts and witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Reform Assembly and 5 state agencies to conclude the opening ceremony for the project.

The judicial system needs to be a non-political entity.  Judges who ruled on a case should in no way have anything to do with its appeal.   That alone is an appalling miscarriage of justice.

I used to think the James Bond super-villain outfits were a little over the top.

But somehow they’re becoming more and more appropriate all the time.

Guess happiness is something that sneaks up on you.

i am fearing that us expats may not be compatible with one of the next versions. i also wonder which version they are going to start fixing the roads again. the water filled pot hole outside my girls house is now big enough for my son to play with his remote control boat. will have to put in some sort of filtration device when it is big enough to swim in.

"Civil-State Mechanisms" sound about as well defined as "the sufficiency economy".

Interesting article here:

Could it be that these grandiose "Thailand 4.0" projects offer more opportunity for the military to reap commission payments?

Meanwhile, the poor get poorer. They never supported the military anyway.

it underscores their incompetence...
