smedly
I am sure this has been asked before but as things change here like wind direction and options vary depending on location I will ask again Can I use a foreign currency deposit account with a balance in sterling in a Thai bank for retirement extension in Chonburi or for that matter anywhere - what are the rules
ubonjoe
They have allowed people to use a foreign currency account before. You might want to check with them to confirm it. You will need a letter from the bank confirming the balance in baht on the date they do the letter.
smedly
OK thanks Joe, I've been using Thai baht account up to now for ext but the exchange rate is crap right now so do not want to exchange to Thai baht at the moment so I opened an FCD sterling account and transfer sterling every few months and use my Thai baht account for living expenses (exchanged at a much higher rate) 25% is 25% so for now I want to keep my money in sterling and see what happens over the next couple of years with exchange rates
