looking through the the Brit embasy gumpf, it seems that the conformation of income letter is 2350 plus 100 p/p

yet on a company advertising their services they say it is 3500. have i missed something. thanks in advance. (it was 1900. )

so is this company offering misleading advice .

The company is making money by doing it for you.

Easy to do yourself - mine took 4 working days. Credit or Debit card.  

Presumably the uplift (any company offering this service would hardly do it just at cost) would cover their review of paperwork to be submitted with the income letter application. Some applicants are unsure as to what is acceptable and a number do post on TV seeking advice, others may use paid services if their income details are not particularly straight forward.

 

Can't see it as being misleading - they offer a service at a given price. Punters have a choice as to whether they use this service or do it direct with the embassy - not particularly difficult to find details of the base cost by doing an internet search.  

 

I think I know which company the OP if referring to. I used it a few years back when the uplift was only Bt300 and It was my first application for an income letter so it was useful to get advice on what paperwork would work. I now do it myself, both because the process is simple but also because the uplift has become, to my mind, excessive.

yes i do it myself also, only their wording was "the cost of an extension was 3500, " so they have hidden their costs into the embassy pricing,  i understand there has to be a profit  margin in it. jusy why dont they come out and say it.

They mean the cost to you. It is common that they do not itemize the cost breakdown unless you ask them to.
