Japanese anti-sex abuse activist arrested over alleged indecent act with 15-year-old girl

 

TOKYO: -- A 35-year-old corporate executive, who has given public lectures on how to protect children from sexual abuse, has been arrested for allegedly being sexually involved with a 15-year-old girl, police said on Thursday.

 

Takayuki Hirakawa, a resident of Saitama near Tokyo, has admitted to the allegation, the police said, quoting him as saying, “I knew she was 15. I have committed similar acts before”.

 

The police alleged that Hirakawa performed an indecent act on the third-year junior high school student on September 4 in a hotel in Nerima Ward in Tokyo

Yeap, if he had paid her as agreed, this wouldn't even be in the news.  But what's bizarre is "The girl called the police when she did not receive the money"....so she told the police that she engaged in sex-for-money?  Is prostitution legal in Japan?

I don't think the issue is really about whether she wanted to be paid or not, any girl working for a pimp knows she'd better collect the money.

Gents can you enlighten us and tell us if a 15 year old is not a child then what age is a child. Is a 14 yr old ok for you or 13 yr  old .  Will you say 'well she was engaged in prostitution so she knew what she was doing? There are 10 yr old girls engaged in prostitution, are they legit bait for people like you because they are on the game? The LAW defines the parameters and often these CHILDREN have no choice. Maybe so but police still seem to think he was in breach of the Child prostitution and child pornography laws. I also thought age of consent was more concerned with 2 minors. Such as if a 13 year old has sex with a 15 year old then it is consensual if a 35 year old does it is sexual abuse of a minor. That was my understanding anyway. Regardless if your a grown man who thinks there is nothing wrong with having sex with a 15 year old there's something wrong with you. I agree with Andaman Al where then do you maggots draw the line 14, 13, 12? hey maybe 11 is ok

Unfortunately Al I think your right there are quite a few in Thailand and by default so too would they be on here. Problem is these grubs won't only defend their right to sleep with minors they wear it like a badge of honour.

It would also reveal that in reality laws are in place at the  prefectural level that make the age of consent effectively 16 or 18. so for the posters here that were getting ready to book tickets to Japan to find the 13 year of your dreams, think again.

 

It would be risky to go with a 16 year old and you would have to verify that is legal in the prefecture you are in. Don't take your new 16 year old Lolita on a honeymoon in a prefecture that has other laws. 

 

Some sources are saying the local laws place age of consent at 18 but I am quite frankly not interested enough to investigate it. When I lived in Japan my rule was 18+. 

 

You will most certainly end up in a Japanese prison like this guy if you go with any minor under 16. One poster asked in prostitution is illegal in Japan and it most certainly is.

People are loosing contact with reality, and morality as well...wonder if any of them had children...

You are saying when someone advocates having sex with minors, then when someone objects to those comments, you are saying it is the person objecting that is desirous of that situation rather than those advocating it?

You are correct.

 

In japanese law the definition of a child is 'under 18'.  IF you pay for sex with a 'child' i.e anyone under 18 who may be engaging in prostitution you are in deep trouble. IF 13 was a legal age then the guy in the OP would not have been arrested by Japanese police  for going with a 15 year old. 

It's not something I have any particular interest in. We all object, but I'm not going to make it my life's work.
