Encroaching restaurant’s extension set for demolition

 

PATTAYA: Gov. Khomsan Ekachai on Sept. 28 directed district officials, backed by soldiers, Pattaya officials and Marine Department staffers, to act against the Srinuan restaurant on Najomtien’s Ban Amphur Beach.

 

District officials said the action came after a complaint from a local fisherman that the eatery filled in the sea to extend the restaurant, blocking a transit area for boats.

 

The boat route was blocked by a concrete dam it used for a walkway.

Nobody forgot that, and there was a special meeting just yesterday in Pattaya about this old problem and its possible solutions.

My concern is those buildings have only one way out, well some may have emergency exits at the back for those wishing to take their chances jumping in the sea ...if the are not chained and locked as I have witnessed myself.
