BANGKOK: -- Is this the face of the Pathum Slasher responsible for three murders of homeless people north of Bangkok?

The sketch from a witness was being circulated in the area around the entrance to the Don Muang tollway last night, reported Daily News.

A homeless man and a woman were murdered and then another dealer in trash was attacked a few days later just 500 meters away.

All the victims were slashed with a knife and had their hands tied behind their backs.

Police said all the murders were connected with a similar modus operandi.

Last night a large number of police, soldiers and local officials were mobilized in the area as the hunt was stepped up.

Homeless people were interviewed to get a lead in the case.

Backgrounds of homeless people were checked at the Pratunamchulalongkorn police station.

Pathum Thani municipality officials went to clean up the area, well known for drug taking and related activity.
