Hi I'm currently in the Uthai Thani region with my Thai partner on a SETV (60day) due to expire first week in November.

Question is I am planning to visit local immigration to extent by 30 days next month however following that extention what would be best to aquire another SETV as previously advised by Thai visa moderator.

Would a simple border run by car to say Laos work to aquire another?

I remember reading somewhere that only by arriving by air this would be possible?

There is no rule that states you must travel by air to get a single entry tourist visa in Laos at either the embassy in Vientiane or the consulate in Savannakhet.
