BANGKOK: -- The baby boy “Aidin” who was cruelly stabbed at least 14 times and found buried alive in a field in Khon Kaen province back in February will start his bright future in the family of a Swedish couple.

The baby, now seven months old, will soon be adopted by a Swedish couple after being in the care of Kaen Thong Orphanage since he was abandoned by his mother earlier this year, according to Supachai Pathimchart, a staff member at the orphanage.

Supachai said the Department of Children and Youth usually runs a background check on couples who wishe to adopt a baby.

Aidin’s mother, who was only identified as a 42-year-old woman, was later tracked down and charged for attempted murder and abandoning her own child.

Hold the celebrations guys, until the baby is safely outside the country. Some idiot xenophobe will start whining about Thai pride and Thai babies should stay with the Thai mothers Thai family and all that shit!

What to name the child ... lucky or indestructible.  Certainly the vitality of this child is off the charts ... as is his luck.

true. i have 2 friends who went through the adoption process. its really like they care more about the loss of face than about the baby going to a good home. it is an unfortunate thing. i have 2 other friends who tried to adopt and the orphanage said no they are their children. they thought they wanted to keep all the kids to get more donations.

Happier ending. Nice news for a change.

The baby should be called Lazarus.  What an amazing escape from death.

An amount of money would probably assuage the loss of face.  Seen it happen in Vietnam and China.

Yes an the rest of the babies family will prob be trying to get 3MB out of the Swedish couple.

We are lucky, that the couple is not gay.

Otherwise we would be wading through heaps of homophobic BS right now!

Good luck to the family and the little guy!

Amazing story and a happy end!
