Re Entry Permit

Featured Replies

Hi,

I will need to apply for a re entry permit to a 30 day VOA.

Would i be better to do this in Chaeng Wattana when i am in BKK or at Aranyaprathet Immigration when I am there?

I am entering Cambodia for the day.

Will be around the 10th of April to the 14th of April - would immigration offices be closed for Songkran around this period?

Thanks

There is no 30 day VOA. You can get a 30 day visa exempt entry.

Why do you want a re-entry permit since you could get a new 15 day or 30 day entry if from a G7 country? That is probably what immigration will ask you when you try to apply for it.

You can apply for a re-entry permit at any immigration office if you have a local address to put on the application form. There is a re-entry permit office at the  Aranyaprathet  crossing.

Sorry yes - 30 day visa exempt.

I need more than 15 days and i am from Australia.

Do I need proof of a local address or can i put the family house address?

I don't know the official calendar for 2017 yet, but by the usual rules:

the immigration offices should be open on April 10, 11, 12 (Mon to Wed).

Quite busy usually.

Closed from April 13 to 17 (Thu to Mon).

Border checkpoints (re-entry) and re-entry office at Suvarnabhumi should be open.

You need more than 15 days.

So leave for Cambodia and return within the first 15 days after arriving in Thailand?

All traffic during this period (whole week) also very heavy,

But I guess you know that.

Just thinking:

If you do nothing before leaving to Cambodia and get a 15 day visa exempt:

couldn't this be extended for 30 days like other visa exempts?

Would be much easier to my opinion.

What form to extend visa exempt and how long before the visa exempt date can i apply?
Thanks all for the help

Plain normal TM7 as for any extension, photo required. 1900 Baht.

Also some proof of residence might be required (hotel bill or the like).

Apply no earlier than one week before exemption ends.

wish to extend ... 30 days

reason... holiday

(best use the double-sided form at the office and fill there)
