Concerts for Corbyn: personality cult or good cause?

LONDON: -- His supporters may be referred to as Corbynistas. They may wear T-shirts bearing the slogan "Jez We Can!" But the Labour Party leader has always insisted that his own career and his own personality is not what counts.

 

It was a point Jeremy Corbyn made yet again after the recent Labour leadership contest. In a video addressed to party members, he looked into the camera and assured them: "This isn't, and never has been, about me. It is about all of us."

 

Now, however, the accusation has grown one step louder that what Mr Corbyn leads is in fact a personality cult.

I don't think the man has a personality as the article suggests. It is one of the reasons that the labour party are in such a mess they are currently in.

 

He doesn't have charisma, that's for sure. But he's like a throwback. CND, hippies, new age travelers, communists, anarchists,  far left socialists, trapped in a 70's mindset and those attracted to it for whatever reasons love him. As will all those who love the self punishing attitude we must show for all the wrongs we think our ancestors may have done and take responsibility for every ill in the world,

 

Don't underestimate him. He's been a politician and remained in parliament for a very long time. He isn't the innocent inoffensive cordial character he makes out.
